About Us

Hello! We're Jason, Kelsey, and Tacoma.One day, we decided to build a cabin on our 3-acre property in Homer, Alaska. Initially, it was meant to be a tiny guest house that only fit a full-sized bed, but, as you can see, plans definitely changed and now we have this lovely A-frame cabin.We're located only 10 minutes from town and 15 minutes from the Homer Spit. But you would never know we were in city limits from the secluded forest views, peaceful quietness, and abundant wildlife that roam the property.Jason is a skilled commercial pilot who spends his summers guiding brown bear tours in Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks. He loves flying, so if you want to visit a volcano caldera or see brown bears up close, he’s the person to ask!Kelsey works in environmental compliance and loves being a part of protecting our natural resources and wildlife. Kelsey knows a lot of random facts about plants and animals in Alaska. So, if you’re ever wondering what that flower or creature is, she either knows it or has a book to ID it!Tacoma is our 16-year-old Australian cattle dog and border collie mix. Tacoma found his forever home when Kelsey adopted him from a rescue in Modesto, CA, back in 2013. Tacoma was born deaf, but he knows his fair share of hand signals. He isn't much of a fan of moose, birds, or some other dogs, but he loves every person he meets. He’s our little sidekick who is always ready for a good adventure or plane ride.In our off time, we like to camp, sail, and explore Alaska by tailwheel plane. And we're so excited to share our little slice of heaven with you.
